To provide the participant with the proper manual handling techniques when lifting, carrying, loading, pushing and supporting.

Course Content:

  • Legislation
  • structure of the back including anatomy and physiology
  • Manual handling risk assessment and hazard identification
  • Ergonomics
  • Different types of lifs (lifting, moving carrying, push and pull)
  • Flexibility
  • general principles of lifting/handling
  • Practical demonstration of safe lifting tecniques by instructor followed by student

Note: Max 12 per course

Protection for Enrolled Learners is not required as this course is less than 3 months in duration.
