Manual Handling
Manual Handling training as required under Regulation 13 of the 1993 (General application Regulations) and 1993 Manual Handling Regulations.
Aim:
To provide the participant with the proper manual handling techniques when lifting, carrying, loading, pushing and supporting.
Course Content:
- Legislation
- structure of the back including anatomy and physiology
- Manual handling risk assessment and hazard identification
- Ergonomics
- Different types of lifs (lifting, moving carrying, push and pull)
- Flexibility
- general principles of lifting/handling
- Practical demonstration of safe lifting tecniques by instructor followed by student
Note: Max 12 per course
Certification: Certificate of Attendance valid for 3 years
Duration: Half Day
